Hi ladies,
I hope you’re enjoying your weekend and looking forward to making a snowman later in the day! There are just a few updates and congratulations since we didn’t meet on the 25th.
Congratulations: The Hannah Circle recognized the dedication of one of our members, Alida, who has crocheted and sewn almost 50 prayer shawls and blankets for the prayer blanket and prayer shawl ministry. She was recognized at the November luncheon of the Hannah Circle and her picture was in the last issue of The Messenger. Alida contributes several shawls each month that are brought in by members of her circle. Thanks Alida. We appreciate you and your hard work!
Happy Birthday: Whitney has a birthday on March 6th. When you see Whitney please wish her Happy Birthday.
New Member: Shirley is a new member of our group who is unable to attend our meetings on a regular basis due to scheduling conflicts, but will be contributing items. If you know Shirley, please welcome her to our group.
The Project: Yarn for the baby afghan has been donated with a little extra for booties or a cap.
It has been suggested that caps or hats can be made for the boys. Another suggestion has been made that the boys receive a fleece blanket. Jo-Anne’s has fleece on sale right now so the younger son could have a Disney print and the older son a blanket in his school colors. We can finalize our plans on Wednesday.
Crocheted Hair Hats: Ellen is going to teach us to make hair hats for people going through chemo treatments. She will have some of the yarn from Jo-Anne’s with her on Wednesday.
Crochet Lessons: Wednesday is the first Wednesday of the month, so we will teach crocheting for any one wishing to learn.
True Confessions: I am so afraid something I type will wind up in one of “The Bloopers” from church bulletins that go around in e-mails so if you see something like that, just tell me. Please don’t send it to every one you know. Those are so embarrassingly funny!
Love and Blessings,
Beverly
